Shauna Delaney – Speaker at 2014 ASLTIP conference

 Shauna is a specialist Speech and Language Therapist with a specialism in Neurodevelopmental Issues such as Autistic Spectrum Condition. She works in mainstream schools, specialist autism units, special schools and provides 1:1 assessments and interventions.  She spent 11 years in a diagnostic team as a part of a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and continues to contribute to diagnosis.

Shauna is an experienced and enthusiastic trainer who provides training to Autism West Midlands, Resources for Autism, Language for Learning, specialist teachers, parents, and other professionals throughout the country. Her training topics includes: Implementing Social Stories – practical workshop to teach how to write a social story, Comic Strip Conversations, Social Intelligence and many more.

 

She focuses on all aspects of language including social communication. Her work often includes supporting and working with school staff. Shauna also regularly provides more general speech and language therapy and assessment which include speech (sounds) or language difficulties.

 

At the ASLTIP Conference 2014 Shauna will conduct one of the workshops: Implementing Social Stories: presentation with client on autistic spectrum and her mother. See the full programme of the conference.
