I’ve been on the ASLTIP Board since March 2020, starting out as Director for Member Engagement, then Vice Chair, and I am now proud to serve as Chair of the Board.
In 2011, I established my independent practice, Supporting Talking. Like many, I began with a hybrid working model – dipping my toe into independent practice while continuing my NHS role. I now work solely in independent practice, primarily with early years children.
I bring a breadth of cross sector experience to my role, having worked as a Professional Advisor for the London based charity The Communication Trust, and in a range of clinical and leadership positions within the NHS across the South West.
As Chair, I’m committed to advocating for SLTs in independent practice and to developing ASLTIP so it can serve its members as effectively as possible. My focus is on strengthening peer support and creating meaningful business development opportunities to help our members thrive.
Outside of work, I’m mum to one spirited little boy, and my favourite pastime is exploring the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, which we’re lucky enough to call home.
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
