With over 25 years of experience in education, professional development, and independent practice, I’m driven by a commitment to meaningful, lasting change—for individuals, organisations, and the wider profession.
As Vice Chair of ASLTIP, I support the board in shaping strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the organisation remains relevant and responsive to members’ needs. Since joining the board in 2021, my work has focused on strengthening engagement, modernising communications, and expanding the reach of our local group network.
I helped launch Therapy Talks—a space for independent SLTs to share knowledge, spark ideas, and connect. We’ve doubled the number of funded local groups, reaching more members with better support. A streamlined digital strategy has led to real results: Facebook engagement rose by 1,200%, and Instagram followers grew by 27%.
This work is values-led. I believe in clarity, inclusion, and the power of professional community.
My career spans leadership roles in the third sector and health innovation. At Medilink Midlands, I supported life sciences companies to secure funding and grow. At The Ear Foundation, I led national training programmes and shaped commercial strategy as Director of Clinical Services and Head of Education.
I specialise in deafness and early intervention. At Auditory Verbal UK, I mentor professionals and create training to equip the next generation of auditory verbal therapists. Through my independent practice, Think Talk and Learn, I support families, train teams, and present internationally.
Supporting SLTs to build expertise, adapt to change, and create sustainable careers has always been a core part of my work. I’ve worked across public, private, and third-sector settings and understand the challenges—and the opportunities—we face as a profession.
Outside of work, I lift weights, practise yoga, and explore the outdoors with my family. These things keep me grounded—and remind me why balance matters.
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
