With over 25 years of experience, I’ve worked across education, professional development, and independent practice. My focus is on helping individuals and organisations grow and create lasting impact.
Since joining ASLTIP’s board in 2021, I’ve helped shape professional training and strengthen member engagement. I played a key role in launching Therapy Talks, an event that to brings independent SLTs together to share knowledge and connect. Now, as Director of Member Engagement, I lead digital strategy, communications, and local group support. My priority is ensuring ASLTIP members feel connected and valued.
I worked with the board to embed ASLTIP’s values into all communications, raising its profile as a professional voice. I also redesigned the local group network, doubling grant-funded groups in 2024 and improving support for members. Under my leadership, concentrating our resources across two main social media platforms has resulted in significant growth and increased engagement. Facebook interactions have increased by 1,200%, and Instagram followers grew by 27%.
I bring experience in business and leadership. At Medilink Midlands, I worked with healthcare and life sciences companies to secure funding and drive innovation. As Director of Clinical Services & Head of Education at The Ear Foundation, I led large-scale training initiatives and developed commercial strategy.
I specialise in deafness and early intervention. At Auditory Verbal UK, I mentor professionals and design training to equip the next generation of auditory verbal therapists. Through my independent practice, Think Talk and Learn, I train professionals, support families, and present internationally.
I have a deep understanding of independent practice—its potential and the challenges it brings. Supporting SLTs to develop expertise and build sustainable careers has been central to my work.
I’ve worked across public, private, and third-sector organisations, gaining insight into how the profession is evolving and why strong networks matter.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me lifting weights, on a yoga mat, or exploring outdoors with my family.
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
