I qualified from the University of Essex in 2022 with MSc in Speech and Language Therapy after completing a Joint BA Hons in French and Media. I have since gained experience in working with adults with neurological difficulties and consider this my specialism e.g stroke, traumatic brain injuries, progressive neurological conditions. I currently work as a specialist clinician in a busy London hospital.
My interests are in communication disorders. However, I am experienced in diagnosing and treating swallowing disorders. I am specialising my skills in instrumental swallowing assessment including Video Fluoroscopy and FEES (Fireoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of the Swallow).
I am originally from Ireland and I came to the UK in 2020 to pursue my dream of becoming a Speech Therapist after volunteering. I am also an experienced TEFL teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy running, having ran the Beachy Head Marathon for the Stroke Association!
