I am a Clinical Specialist in paediatric dysphagia with over 25 years’ NHS experience supporting babies, children, young people and their families.
I help with feeding and swallowing difficulties from birth through weaning and beyond, including support for children with complex medical needs. My approach is calm, compassionate and family-centred, always sensitive to the challenges mealtimes can bring. Support is available through home visits or online.
Alongside my clinical work, since 2015, I have taught on the Midlands Quest Paediatric/ALD dysphagia course. I provide clinical supervision for SLTs working with babies, children and young people with eating, drinking and swallowing needs. Supervision offers a safe and supportive space to grow confidence, strengthen clinical reasoning, work towards RCSLT EDS competencies, while also protecting wellbeing.
I am passionate about sharing knowledge so SLTs know they are providing the best possible care, and families can feel confident that their children are safe, supported and understood.
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
