I am a registered Speech and Language Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children and adults specialising in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I work independently and for the NHS. I am very skilled in using assistive technology and exploring access methods for individuals with complex physical and communication needs. I work with individuals developing cause and effect skills, to those developing their confidence in using AAC to developing literacy skills.
I have worked with individuals with a wide range of needs – including cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury, MND, dementia, stroke, sensory impairments, and profound and multiple learning disabilities.
I work closely with families, schools, case managers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes.
I offer training services to teams, day centres, schools and organisations on AAC and communication supports.
