Raquel Fernandes
My work has been mainly school-based, where I collaborate closely with families, teachers and wider multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful, functional change for each child.
Each child has an unique profile, and I aim to build on their strengths, and deliver therapy that is both effective and engaging.
I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, as well as those with developmental language disorder, learning needs, social and emotional needs, and speech sound difficulties.
Over the past decade, I have worked in highly multicultural settings, which has deepened my interest in the relationship between culture, language and identity. I am particularly passionate about supporting bilingual children with speech, language and communication needs.
I am bilingual and can deliver therapy both in English and Portuguese.
Sessions available in English and Portuguese.
