Since graduating in 2005, I have worked extensively with adults with acquired neurological conditions that affect their ability to communicate. While my specialism lies mainly with brain injury and stroke, I also have a lot of experience working with Parkinson’s disease, different types of dementia (including Primary Progressive Aphasia) and care of the elderly populations.
I have worked across NHS boards in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland, as well as in the private sector for a charity known as ‘Brainkind’.
I currently work part-time for the NHS and see individuals privately too.

While I have 20 years of experience in assessing and managing adults with swallowing issues, my passion lies in supporting people with communication difficulties through the various stages of their recovery and adjustment. My training and experience includes, but is not limited to, LSVT, CBT, Compassion-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing and conversation partner training.
