Juanita qualified in 1991 and has developed considerable experience in supporting individuals with communication problems. She treats a range of difficulties including dyspraxia/speech delay/language disorders/learning disabilities. She specialises in supporting individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and has managed an integrated education service where she was the Autism Lead. As well as being an independent practitioner, Juanita has worked with local education authorities as a Consultant. Juanita has undertaken a broad range of post graduate training in the UK and USA focussing on therapeutic techniques. She is a Regional Makaton trainer and has delivered many of these courses over the years. Juanita is an Expert witness and regularly prepares reports for parents to inform First Tier SENDIST appeals. Juanita is also a Director of The London Autism Assessment Practice (LAAP), where she is part of a multi-disciplinary diagnostic team.
