I qualified in 1987 and have combined working in the NHS with independent work since then. My clinical experience has involved: early intervention services for children from 0-5 years with delayed or complex communication needs,autism; interdisciplinary work with services attached to a Child Development Team; training to parents, Early Years teams, schools, medical services eg (GPs, Health Visitors) on speech, language and communication needs, (SLCN), how to identify and support these difficulties. I am qualified to deliver courses from Hanen, Elklan and ICAN. I am PECS trained and also can support the use of Makaton at home and nurseries/schools.
