I have 15 years experience working with children as a Speech and Language Therapist in the NHS. I took some time out to have my two boys where I developed an interest in conscious communication, particularly how the language and lens we have as parents influences the way our children see themselves. I have spoken at several conferences and ran workshops on this topic.
I specialise in working with children who stammer and their families. I use a variety of approaches including Parent Interaction Therapy and Solution Focus Brief Therapy. My aim is for a child to communicate confidently whether they stammer or not. This involves working with parents and siblings, as well as teachers to help support the child in their communication, as well as working with the child directly.
