Sunita Shah graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Language Sciences (Speech and Language Therapy). In 2021 Sunita was awarded, The international Woman’s Day “Woman of Excellence Award”, for her achievements and service to education.

Sunita’s is multilingual, with English and Gujarati as her primary languages, and has provided national training, focusing on children and families from diverse communities for schools and speech and language therapy services.

Sunita continues to provide training supporting speech, language, and communication needs, now focusing on teenagers with social, emotional, and mental health needs. She has developed a bespoke social-emotional literacy curriculum and provides training to secondary education and private educational establishments.

In addition to her clinical work, Sunita is a successful children’s author, having published over twenty books and resources that have been sold internationally. Her series, known as “The Jai Jais,” is widely recognised and appreciated.
