My expertise as a Specialist SLT has been developed across 35yrs of working with children and young adults with complex communication needs (including autism). I worked in the NHS for 26yrs until July 2015, with my last post as the Clinical Lead / Therapy Manager for school-aged complex needs children in the Leeds Children’s SLT Service.

I work with children, families and support staff across agencies in all settings, including the home, and use a wide range of approaches, including Intensive Interaction, Makaton, visual supports (including PECS), Talk Tools, and Talking Mats.

I am an Intensive Interaction Co-ordinator, and trainer for the Intensive Interaction Institute, and am passionate about supporting its fidelity and use with my clients and their families and all those who support them.
