I have 27 years’ experience of working with people who have communication and/or swallowing difficulties. I provide assessment, therapy and advice for a wide range of conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, cognitive communication disorder and motor speech disorders. Therapy options include: Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) to increase volume and clarity of speech; language work focusing on word finding and sentence construction; speech work to improve intelligibility and communication strategies intervention to build confidence when communicating in everyday and/or work settings. The work is carried out either in the client’s home or remotely using a video-conferencing platform. For maximum benefit and where appropriate, therapy involves the client’s family and/or carers.
