I have over 30 years of clinical experience with children across the age ranges, but particularly with children who have a speech sound disorder. After graduating from UCL I worked in the NHS for 10 years and became a specialist in language disorder, focussing on language units and mainstream school work. When my own children were young I set up my own independent practice in 2001, based at home in Petts Wood, Kent, and now run a busy, thriving practice providing therapy both face to face and on Zoom, as well as to mainstream schools. I have recently had a book published titled ‘Working with Childhood Apraxia of Speech’, which is my specific area of interest. I am passionate about the importance of empowering parents and of providing a relaxed, fun environment in which children can develop their speech skills effectively.
