I have previous experience working in the NHS as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist.

I have worked in a variety of settings including homes, clinic, nurseries, mainstream primary and secondary schools and specialist provisions. I am trained in the use of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) programme, Natural Language acquisition covering echolalia and Gestalt Language Processing, SCERTS, infant massage, and am a trained smiLE Therapist. I have also completed Edythe Strand’s course on Dynamic Temporal & Tactile Cueing (DTTC) to support children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). I have a particular interest in language difficulties associated with complex needs and functional communication. My specialist interests include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Global Developmental Delay. Assessment and therapy packages are tailored to meet a child’s individual needs. I enjoy working in collaboration with parents/carers, Education and other Professionals to ensure the child’s needs are met.
