Clare qualified in 2005 and has extensive experience working with teenagers/young adults and adults across the lifespan, both in the NHS and independent practice. Clare specialises in neuro rehabilition, and has a particular interest in working with people with dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, voice, those who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and/or with cognitive- communication difficulties following a brain injury. Clare adopts a functional and holistic approach to intervention.

Since 2012, Clare has gained extensive experience working alongside case managers and other rehabilitation therapists in the medico-legal field. In addition to working as a highly specialist speech and therapist, Clare joined Somek and Associates in 2023 as an Expert Witness.

Clare is a highly-trained clinical supervisor and is pleased to offer supervision to qualified speech and language therapists and assistants.
