I have a particular interest in Cleft Palate and Speech Sound Disorders, and have worked as a clinical lead in these areas within the NHS. I have done a great deal of work in primary schools, providing intervention to children with a range of speech, language and communication needs, including those with Developmental Language Disorder and Stammering.
I will treat your child in your home (I believe children are more relaxed in a familiar environment), but am prepared to see children for therapy within their nursery or school setting. I believe in the importance of providing feedback and recommendations to parents and educational staff.
I am trained in VERVE Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, which I endorse as a means of empowering parents to support their children with language and social communication difficulties.
I gained a distinction in my Speech and Language Postgraduate Diploma (2009) and have just completed 13 years in the NHS.
