I am an Advanced Practitioner Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical and Service Lead, working for 31 years.

I specialise in Voice and Throat/Upper airway disorders with a previous joint specialism in neurological conditions and stroke. In my private practice I assess and treat voice and throat/Upper airway disorders in both adults and children, including presentations of muscle tension dysphonia, psychogenic dysphonia, vocal cord nodules, vocal cord paralysis and voice disorders related to trauma. I also manage conditions of the upper airway such as chronic cough, habitual throat clearing, hypersensitive larynx, irritable larynx syndrome, inducible laryngeal obstruction, anxiety related swallowing issues and Globus sensation. In the NHS I work in close collaboration with ENT Consultants and run the first established  SLT Led ENT Parallel clinic in NI where I carry out laryngoscopy as an Advanced Practitioner.  I mentor and present on my specialism regularly. I am a licensed LSVT practitioner.
