I am a speech and language therapist, registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Health Care Professions Council, with over 25 years of experience working in both education and the NHS with children and young adults who have language delay, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy and Downs syndrome. As well as offering one to one therapy, I have a particular interest in embedding communication development throughout the day and I offer ongoing advice and support to families, schools and colleges. I also carry out assessments on behalf of parents for tribunals. In addition to private work, I maintain my role as a Head of Services and Lead Speech and Language Therapist in a Multi-academy Trust of Special Schools. In this role I provide therapy and manage a team of therapists all with the aim of delivering Speech and Language Therapy in a way that will maximise Language Development and access to the curriculum for children who have individual needs. I aim to provide thought leadership and I have spoken at international conferences and been published in specialist journals.
