I am the lead SLT and director of Building Blocks SLT Ltd. an independent Speech and Language Therapy Practice located in West Sussex. At Building Blocks SLT we adopt a neurodiversity informed approach where we respect and encourage individual communication differences and support our children to develop into confident communicators whatever that may look like for them. We work closely with parents and carers to ensure that the child’s communication environment is enriched both inside and outside of therapy sessions. Our main aim is joy and improved communication. We work holistically, using a Total Communication approach, to ensure that every child can find their own voice, whether that be learning words, developing speech sounds, or looking at alternative and augmentative ways to communicate with others.
