Hi, my name is Alison Hatton. I am an experienced specialist speech and language therapist working
independently and for the NHS. I work with children with a broad range of speech, language and
communication needs. I offer a flexible and individualised speech and language therapy service, with
high quality informal and/ or formal assessment, diagnosis and intervention for preschool and school
aged children within school or their home.
I consider myself to be a, caring, honest and friendly therapist who believes in working in
partnership with children and their families to agree relevant and functional goals to support
positive change.
Since qualifying as a speech and language therapist in 2014, I have been extremely fortunate to work
alongside other experienced speech and language therapists as well as other professionals (including
paediatricians, educational and clinical psychologists) which has further developed my ability to
work holistically. Prior to qualifying as a speech and language therapist, I worked as a teaching
assistant. These experiences have allowed me the opportunity to have knowledge and insight in
both the health and education systems.
I am a member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT), the Health and Care
Professions Council (HCPC) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent
Practice (ASLTIP).
