Hi! I am a Speech Therapist who specialises in AAC for people with special needs including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, genetic conditions eg. Down Syndrome and Retts Syndrome, and those termed ‘PMLD’. I have worked in this area for over 10 years in various roles.
I am enthusiastic and ambitious about unlocking the power of communication and supporting each individual to break down barriers, especially for those with complex needs who are so often underestimated and overlooked. I truly enjoy the creative process of finding out what communication systems and strategies work for each individual, and supporting families and professionals to feel confident and empowered to support those communication needs.
As well as my career, working within AAC and special needs is my hobby and passion. And as a disabled person myself, inclusion and celebration of differences is at the heart of what I do. I’d love to hear from you.
