Megan Hooper
I am a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for supporting individuals with brain injuries and complex communication needs. My goal is to help people develop meaningful ways to communicate that enhance their independence, confidence, and quality of life.
I have particular expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), low tech resources and Intensive Interaction, and I enjoy creating personalised communication approaches that reflect each individual’s strengths, preferences, and goals. I believe that effective support is built on strong relationships, and I work closely with clients, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure everyone feels heard, understood, and involved.
I am known for my approachable and collaborative style, and I strive to create positive, supportive environments where communication can flourish. My practice is person-centred and evidence-informed, focusing on meaningful outcomes that enable individuals to participate fully in their home, education, and community.
