I have been working as a Speech and Language Therapist for 10 years, starting my career working for a private company, before working in my current job as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for the NHS. I currently work in clinics and mainstream schools, and the designated provisions within these. I have extensive experience in working with pre-school and primary aged children with a variety of language and communication difficulties, including speech sound disorders, difficulties with spoken or understanding of language, and social communication difficulties.
I am also highly experienced in working with children with additional needs, such as ASD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy and Downs Syndrome, as well as other complex needs. I am passionate about supporting parents and educational staff to develop their knowledge and skills to help support their children with language and/or communication difficulties. I am trained in Makaton, PECS and PCI training.
