Luisa specialises in supporting people with communication difficulties following a stroke, including aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication disorders. She has experience working with individuals at every stage of recovery — from the early days in hospital to reconnecting and communicating confidently many years after a stroke.
Luisa currently works as an NHS Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, where she is part of the Acute Stroke Unit team. She has also delivered high-intensity therapy within ICAP settings (Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Programmes).
Luisa places each person at the centre of their therapy, focusing on personally meaningful goals that help them participate fully in everyday life. She is dedicated to helping people regain confidence and connection through evidence-based, individualised approaches.
