Jean Rutter is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist who is particularly experienced in delivering intervention for people with aphasia and cognitive communication disorders (in person or teletherapy). She has over 15 years clinical experience working in a range of rehabilitation settings in London NHS hospitals including The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
Jean has specialist experience in delivering evidence-based interventions and which includes developing and running aphasia programs (including ICAPS) and other high dose interventions.
As well as working in independent clinician practice Jean works in a number of roles at City St George’s University, including as a visiting clinical tutor and aphasia researcher. She also runs courses for clinicians and her first book was recently published by J&R press which supports clinicians with aphasia therapy.
Jean always ensures clients are at the centre of their intervention and that goals are meaningful to the individual’s life.
