I have fourteen years’ experience working across all sectors, and love what I do.
I am dual qualified as an orofacial myofunctional therapist, having trained with the Association of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. I am co-founder of the OM Clinic North in Hexham, a highly specialist assessment centre for orofacial myology and speech.
I have specialist training and experience in the following clinical areas:
Voice: VoiceFit and voice for performance with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Speech disorders: including PROMPT trained.
Complex health conditions, stammering and voice confidence: narrative approach, UK institute of narrative therapy.
I am qualified and experienced in manual therapy for voice, swallowing and development of orofacial muscle function, trained by Walt Fritz, physiotherapist. I offer a respectful and gentle hands on approach to treating these conditions from a biopsychosocial and evidence-based perspective.
