Hi,
I qualified as a speech and language therapist in 1993 from De Montfort University, Leicester. I worked in the NHS for 22 years with preschool, primary and secondary aged children with the full range of communication disorders. I love working with families, nurseries and schools to support children’s communication. I particularly specialise in working with children with difficulties with understanding and using language, pronouncing words and confidence in communication.

Since 2020 I have been working in my own independence practise in Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale. I am passionate about the difference speech and language therapy can make. I can assess and make receommendations alongside working directly with the child. I also can mentor and support parents and school staff to give effective support and be the difference that child needs.
