Clare is a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist with over 12 years of experience in leading London hospitals.

She continues to practice part-time at the National Hospital of Neurology & Neurosurgery, supporting adults with a range of neuro-muscular and progressive neurological conditions.

She has advanced expertise in assessing and managing swallowing and communication difficulties across stroke, neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, neuro-oncology, and progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. Clare also works with adults with cerebral palsy, particularly in accessing communication aids and devices.

Alongside her clinical work, Clare is dedicated to shaping best practice within the profession. She was lead author for the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists’ professional and public guidance on awake brain surgery.

Clare is passionate about working collaboratively with clients and families to set meaningful goals and enhance quality of life. Her approach is warm, person-centred, and grounded in evidence-based therapy tailored to individual needs.
