BSc (hons) Speech Pathology – Queen Margaret University College Edinburgh 2000
I qualified as a Speech Therapist in 2000 and started work in the North East of England as a Generalist Speech and Language Therapist at Darlington Memorial Hospital and later working in Specialist Speech and Language Therapy roles in the North East of England, including periods in Adult Learning Disability and Adult Acquired Neurology.
In 2012, I took up a Community Speech and Language Therapy role based at Camborne and Redruth Community Hospital. I have also worked at The Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Oncology and Palliative Care as well as a secondment as Therapies Clinical Governance Lead.
I have experience of working with Private clients with acquired neurological conditions, voice difficulties and stammering in both adults and children.
I have undertaken Postgraduate training in dysphagia (swallowing problems) and dysfluency (stammering).
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
