My service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injury, including stroke and traumatic brain injury. I support clients with communication difficulties such as aphasia, cognitive-communication impairment, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and swallowing difficulties that can impact safety, nutrition and daily life. My approach draws on current evidence-based practice and a strong understanding of neurorehabilitation.
I also offer specialist therapy for people who stammer, focusing on both the physical aspects of speech and the psychological impact of stammering. Therapy is collaborative, respectful and grounded in techniques that help clients build confidence and effective communication strategies in daily interactions.
Across all areas of practice, I work closely with each client to develop meaningful, personalised goals that reflect what matters most to them. Treatment is tailored to maximise participation, independence and overall quality of life, supporting clients to reconnect with the people, activities and identities that are important to them.
