I am a highly experienced neurospecialist Speech and Language Therapist with 30 years experience supporting adults with communication and swallowing difficulties, progressive or post stroke or trauma, devising plans to improve outcomes and life quality.
A graduate of UCL I worked in the specialist acute stroke and rehab units of Barnet, Finchley, Chelsea & Westminster and Kingston hospitals, also performing out-patient work and home visits for follow-up therapy.
I specialise in devising therapy programmes post stroke and for progressive neurological conditions: Parkinson’s, MND, MS and dementia and the associated disorders: aphasia, dysarthria, dyspraxia, cognitive communication difficulties and dysphagia. As an independent I offer home visits to maximise therapy potential, with advice given to carers/families. Also online assessments and sessions. I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy where appropriate. I offer tailor-made schedules of therapy sessions, Mondays to Saturdays, to try and best accommodate family and patient needs.
