Having worked as a SLT within pre-school settings, mainstream primary, and specialist primary and secondary provisions for the NHS, Local Educational Authority and 2 National Charities – Scottish Autism & Seamab Care & Education, I can use my knowledge and experience to offer individualised assessment, advice & support and intervention at a time and place that benefits the young person. My approach to therapy is rooted in enabling and empowering not only the young people themselves, but the families, carers and involved professionals to better understand and navigate the speech, language or communication difficulties in a planned, collaborative way. My 25yrs of clinical experience are in speech and language delay, developmental language disorder, and social and emotional communication difficulties associated with autism or trauma.
