Trishna Patel
I am a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with 18 years’ experience in NHS and education settings, supporting pre-school and primary-aged children with speech, language and communication needs. I assess and treat attention and listening difficulties, social communication and play needs, receptive and expressive language difficulties, speech sound disorders, Developmental Language Disorder, learning needs, Down’s syndrome, stammering and autism.
Therapy sessions are available in my clinic, providing a calm and dedicated space for assessment and intervention, as well as in school settings. I offer individual or small-group therapy and staff training to embed communication strategies.
Working in partnership with parents, carers and schools ensures consistent strategy use and progress at home and in education. I am trained in the Hanen Parent–Child Interaction Programme, the SCERTS framework, Makaton and the Lidcombe Therapy Programme for children who stammer. Qualifications: MSc Human Communication; BSc Speech & Language Therapy.
