Lianne van der Merwe
I work with pre- and school-aged children and adults (NHS and private sector) in schools (nursery, primary, secondary, state and private) or offer home visits. I have experience working with children and young people in school with English as a second language (EAL). I specialise in hearing-impairment/deafness/cochlear implants. I have been working with deaf adults on a cochlear implant team for the past 6 years. I also offer initial assessments, reviews and therapy in articulation/phonological, auditory processing difficulties, speech/language and global developmental delay, Aspergers and learning difficulties. I am trained in the Hanen ‘It Takes two to talk’ and Lidcombe stammering programme. I offer therapy to hearing impaired/deaf adults who would like improve their speech production, listening and communication skills. I work in Somerset and occasionally in neighbouring counties as well as London.
