I qualified as a Speech & Language Therapist 27 years’ ago, working in the NHS in settings, including acute hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and community and home-based care, most recently, managing a team of 15, SLTs.
I specialise in treating acquired communication difficulties, particularly those resulting from stroke and progressive neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s and Motor Neurone Disease. These conditions can lead to aphasia, dysarthria, dyspraxia, or cognitive communication disorders.
Employing a range of evidence-based therapy practices, I provide comprehensive assessment, therapy, advice, and training. I am a certified SPEAK OUT provider which is a therapy used with patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
I offer therapy sessions both online and in-person, at your home. I am registered with RCSLT, HCPC, and ASLTIP and hold a current enhanced, DBS.
I aim to optimise my clients’ communication abilities, enabling them to regain or maintain, their communication skills, depending on their diagnosis.
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
