With 20 years of experience as a Speech and Language Therapist across a range of settings, as well as my additional qualifications as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist (OMT) and Buteyko Breathing Practitioner (BBM), I am able to assess and treat speech and communication issues with specialist insight. Breathing and Oral function underpin our health and wellbeing ,and provide a solid basis for communication, speech and eating/drinking. Addressing these areas greatly enhances outcomes for my patients.
My specialist areas include:
Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (including – tongue tie, tongue thrust, mouth breathing, dribbling, low oral tone, messy eating)
Speech sounds (articulation, phonology and verbal dyspraxia)
Voice and stammering (fluency)
Sensory involvement in speech and feeding in Special Needs (such as Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and ADHD, ASD).
Currently, I am only able to take on new patients who require specialist intervention for oro-facial myofunctional disorders or oral dysfunction.
I work with some private insurance providers. Please ask.
