Rebecca is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist working in Neurology. She graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia and has been practising since 2010. She has over 10 years of NHS experience. Rebecca continues to work in the NHS at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Her main role is within the neurology team seeing complex neurology, neurodegenerative and neuromuscular patients across critical care, wards and outpatients. She specialises in the management of complex dysphagia and communication disorders in the the neurology population. This includes MND, Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s plus disorders, Ataxia, stroke, MS, FND, mitochondrial conditions, nerve conditions such as GBS and facial palsy.
Rebecca has undertaken post graduate training in facial neuromuscular rehabilitation and is a specialist in this field. Rebecca is on the committee for Facial Therapy Specialists International. She is a clinical advisor to RCSLT and provides training and mentoring in facial therapy.
