I currently work 4 days a week at Great Ormond Street Hospital within the outpatient cochlear implant and complex airway teams.
I am an enthusiastic and creative speech and language therapist, with six years of experience working across a range of settings including; mainstream schools, special schools, social communication/language units, rehabilitation centres and hospitals. I pride myself on my ability to work flexibly with a broad range of client groups, but specialise in complex communication needs arising from conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury and complex medical needs. I take a functional approach to therapy; targeting communication to support everyday life. I particularly enjoy implementing Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) into children and families’ routines, community life and preferred activities. I am trained in PODD, PECS and the Smartbox softwares such as Grid 3.
