Speech and Language Therapist in St Albans
I have worked with families affected by stroke, brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions in hospital, home, and online services. I am experienced in assessment and therapy for aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, cognitive communication disorder, and other communication and swallowing difficulties, including with multicultural and multilingual families. My approach is to carefully understand your difficulties and priorities and plan therapy together, drawing on research into what is most likely to help.
In my PhD research at UCL, I worked with over 50 people with aphasia to evaluate sentence therapies and therapy apps. My work is funded by The Stroke Association. I have also enjoyed teaching lectures for Masters speech and language therapy students.
