This practical training is designed for SLTs wanting to utilise music-based interventions to support with the following goal areas for patients accessing neurorehabilitation:
- optimising arousal
- strengthening respiration
- improving breath control
- increasing articulatory control
- triggering automatic speech
- synthesising communication areas
- initiating use of Total Communication
Participants will gain a clearer understanding of why music is such an effective tool in neurorehabilitation and learn how to confidently apply music-based strategies in both individual and group contexts. A comprehensive 26-page resource pack is included, featuring a range of accessible musical activities, session plans, and links to ready-made playlists to support learning and clinical implementation.
