My name is Rachel. I am a HCPC and RCSLT registered Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist and the owner of Communican Speech and Language Therapy.

I have over 12 years of experience working in the NHS and in a range of specialist settings within the private sector.

My specialisms are Autism Spectrum Condition, Learning Disabilities, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, Preschool Language, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

I am neurodivergent and I use neurodiversity-affirming practices that focus on embracing difference, adapting environments, educating others and providing the tools needed to communicate (AAC). I DO NOT support or use any approaches that focus on ‘fixing’ the child or encouraging them to hide (mask) their neurodiversity.
