Hi, I’m Carrie!
I began my career in the NHS and have since worked across a range of specialist and independent settings, collaborating and leading within multidisciplinary teams to support children and young people with diverse communication profiles.
I care deeply about creating neurodiversity-affirming environments where communication differences are understood, respected, and supported, so that young people can participate, connect and thrive in their own way. I specialise in developmental trauma, social emotional mental health, and social communication, drawing on approaches such as SCERTS, trauma-informed practice, and Polyvagal Theory to guide my work. I am a Safe and Sound Protocol provider which I offer alongside psychoeducation support for children and adults.
What I value most is seeing the impact of therapy on
participation, independence, and wellbeing, and supporting
young people and the people around them to be part of that
journey.
