I am a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist having qualified from Essex University in 2013 via their Speech and Language Therapy Masters degree course. Since qualifying I have worked in a variety of settings including mainstream schools, language and hearing impairment resource bases, pre-school clinics and within hospital settings. I specialise in supporting children and young people with speech disorders relating to cleft palate, craniofacial diagnoses and developmental verbal dyspraxia (DVD). I have experience of working with children and young people with a variety of communication difficulties including deafness, developmental language disorder (DLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to name a few.
In my current NHS role I work as part of a multidisciplinary team and I strongly advocate for multiagency involvement to best support the needs of the child or young person.
