I have been an SLT for 22 years (BSc Speech Sciences, UCL). I work part time as an NHS team lead for 11-19s age group in secondary schools, colleges, Additional Resource Provisions for autistic teenagers, specialist SEMH schools, the youth justice service and youth early help.
I am a mindfulness teacher (MSc Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Bangor). I am certified to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Life (MBCT-L) and am training to teach Mindfulness Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) courses.
I can provide:
– clinical and/or mindfulness based supervision to SLTs.
– mindfulness workshops & courses to SLTs.
– training in settings e.g. to school staff, including ELKLAN 11-16s/Post-16s/SEMH, mindfulness courses, and mindfulness & SLCN workshops.
-mindfulness courses to young people who are neurodivergent and/or who have language and communication difficulties, learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and to parents of children who have communication differences / difficulties.
ASLTIP’s membership has been growing rapidly since 1989. We are a support organisation run by our members. The executive board is always grateful for new members and new ideas.
