Dr Sean Pert has a PhD in Bilingualism (Newcastle University), as well as Post Graduate Certificates in Gender Identity Healthcare Practice (London University), and Higher Education (University of Manchester), and a PGDip in Healthcare Management (Salford University). He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Sean has published numerous papers book chapters, assessments and therapy packages, presented at scientific conferences in the UK and abroad, and is the author of textbook ‘Children Experiencing Speech and Language Disorders in a Bilingual Context: A Home Language Approach’. Sean has won the Sternberg Award for Clinical Innovation on three occasions, including the Building Early Sentence Therapy (BEST). Sean is an experienced trainer, providing post-qualification course on Bilingualism, Speech Sound Disorders, Transcription and BEST. Sean is the Past Chair of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (2022-2024). Sean currently works as a Senior Clinical Lecturer.
