Julie Anstey
Hi, I’m Julie.
I am a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist and Founder of The Talking House, an independent practice based in Boston Spa, near Leeds. I have over 40 years’ experience supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
I specialise in the assessment and therapy of children with complex speech and language disorders, including autistic and neurodivergent children and young people. I hold a PhD from the University of Sheffield, with research focused on communication and interaction involving autistic children. I also have extensive experience consulting with schools and colleges, and training and supervising educators and Speech and Language Therapists.
I love my work. My approach is thorough, practical and, importantly, enjoyable. I work closely with families and schools to help children and young people communicate with greater confidence and achieve their potential.
