I have over 20 years’ experience of assessing and treating children and adults with communication, speech and language difficulties, as well as swallowing difficulties. I have experience working with adults with mental health problems, brain injuries, degenerative conditions, those on the autism spectrum, learning difficulties and people who are deaf. I have worked across acute medical and stroke services, as an independent SLT, as well as undertaking medico-legal work.

I have developed and delivered training programmes to a variety of professionals on autism, communication, dysphagia, Makaton, Positive Behaviour Support and sensory integration.

I am particularly experienced in the management of communication difficulties arising from autism, having achieved a M(Ed) in Autism with Distinction in 2015, and have undertaken Post Graduate training in Sensory Integration. I am fluent in Makaton and experienced in dealing with communication issues arising from hearing loss.
